Reminder: Leash Law in our Community

To All Residents: All dogs in Planters Walk must be kept on a leash while walking thru the neighborhood. We have had a few incidents reported to the HOA about dogs chasing people while jogging and walking their own dogs. This is not only a violation of Planters Walk rules, but also the City of Charlotte. Please be considerate of your neighbors and keep your dogs on a leash.

If you encounter a dog that is not on a leash, please call 311 and report it to Animal Control. If you know where the owner of the dog lives, send Melanie DeMeter @ Hawthorne a violation report thru our web site. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks to all the dog owners who are using the Dog Bags to help keep our community clean and healthy. There is a survey on the web site about the Dog Bag Dispensers, please take a few minutes to vote, and if you like, to leave a comment.

Sam Neely Clean-up:

Did you notice that Sam Neely has less litter on it than before? The Planters Walk Neighborhood Watch Committee adopted the entire 1 mile stretch of Sam Neely as part of the Keep Charlotte Beautiful Program. You can view photos of the event in our Photo Album. Thank you to LaDawn Schifferli, Keith Schifferli, Paul James, Marty Schoborg, Mary Catherine Dolphens and Carolyn Tatanish for helping with our first clean-up. Special thanks to the little boy and his father that brought us gatoraide on that hot, but beautiful day!
