Good morning PW Family & Friends -
Thanks to those who came out to our Annual Meeting last night! We had a nice turn out and some great conversations regarding what has been going on and what's to come in the neighborhood. Here are some of the highlights from last night's meeting:
- Please welcome Carsten Doerfer to the HOA Board of Directors. He comes highly recommended and brings some new and great energy to the team. We are all looking forward to another fantastic year. The board would like to thank Tory Poole for her dedication and commitment over this last term and we will miss her presence. Thank you for all of your hard work Tory! Carrie Smith, Harold Vandeveer, Todd Zielinski & Dana Wascher will resume their roles for another year as well.
- Carolina Pool Management is the new pool management company, which brings a lot of experience, excitement and fantastic new events to our pool this summer. Be on the lookout for Teen/Adult pool nights, 4th of July event, Fun Fridays for the kids, big screen movies at the pool to name a few. The lifeguards will also be available for swim lessons.
- The PW Swim Team is currently registering swimmers for their 6th season. The team competes in the Just Swim Charlotte swim league against Berewick, Palisades, The Crossings and Huntington Forest neighborhoods. Please visit www.PlantersWalkSwimTeam.com for all swim team information.

OFFENDERS WILL BE TICKETED. Please consider this as your warning. The Board is looking to keep Planters Walk safe and CMPD will be assisting. Radar traps will be set - neighbors please be mindful of traffic violations and please follow the laws.
- Buckeye Landscape was present to discuss upcoming projects and the status of some current projects that are underway.
- Modifications were discussed and the process was briefly explained. All modification requests must be sent to Hawthorne at admin@hawthornemgmt.com prior to sending to the HOA Board
- Resident concerns that were addressed:
- Dog stations/poop pick up. Neighbors - PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR OWN PETS. It is not acceptable to allow our animals to leave droppings on other's property without cleaning up after them.
- Some of the PW street signs are in very poor condition. The Board is aware of the condition of many of the street signs and we will be replacing signs in the upcoming year.
- The annual Sam Neely cleanup was on 4/23. Three families (out of over 700) showed to assist in the service event. 13 bags of trash (and several automotive parts) were recovered and disposed of. If you see someone dropping litter out their car window, please contact 311 with the offender's license plate number. Littering is against the law.
- The drainage creek that runs along the walkway between Bubbling Brook Ct and Golden View is loaded with debris and needs to be cleaned out. The Board was notified and will take action for removing debris, as well as having the tree line / over growth in this area clean
